Our Local Ward

Last Sunday in ward council, we talked about the people in our ward—how we can make a difference and help strengthen faith. There are many who are struggling right now both temporally and spiritually.

Most of the people serving on our ward council do so because they genuinely care about others. They want to uplift, encourage, and serve out of love. They want to be true disciples of Jesus Christ and do His will. By performing this service they feel the power of God and the blessings that come from it.

This, to me, is a testimony of the power of the Latter-Day Church.

If Joseph Smith were truly a malicious, dishonest fraud seeking personal gain—suffering and being persecuted his entire life in the process—not only did he fail completely, but how is it that the organization he began in that supposed deceit continues to do so much good, even here in our small corner of Zion today?
