Travis was Sam’s friend at Ricks College before his mission and was our roommate during my senior year of college. He later worked for me at SB Systems in Riverside, and was even a success story from one of our “pizza dates.” Like you, his wife Amy is the daughter of a CES director.
He’s one of the funnest guys I know—sincere, loyal, and always smiling, with a great sense of humor. He also is our accountant for my complicated business taxes.
Travis’s first two children passed away at young ages from a genetic disorder. Why did they have to die? Why did he and Amy have to suffer so much?
I don’t know, but part of it may be to help build faith of others through his incredible experience dying, going beyond the veil, meeting them in the world to come and knowing of their love and the bonds of eternity.
